New theme “Minimal Mistakes” is adopted to empower the website.
From plain text to new theme
Originally I intended to “type” out every single element of the website by myself, for both the content and style. I tried, really hard, but gave up eventually. I list two reasons. First, although I have learned the basics of HTML and CSS languages, my experience with them are so scarce that even building a proper navigation bar takes me amounts of time, not mentioning other fancy stuffs. Second, modifying a mature theme developed by a professional web designer is a much faster way to learn than starting from simple syntax.
After deciding to turn to a theme, I started my hard search. Minimal Mistakes was chosen because it satisfies my two criteria for an ideal theme: plain look and flexible function.
